Finding Myself

I was listening to the radio the other day and came in on the last little bit of what I think was a radio preacher. I was barely paying attention but I heard a statement that was something to the effect of, "The more I tried to find myself, the more I disappeared." Now not hearing anymore of what the man was talking about, I can't really expound on what HE was saying, but that struck me as interesting so I've been thinking about what it COULD mean. This is what I have figured....if we are in this search for ourselves, what we stand for, what's important to us, how we fit into our family, how we relate to others.....if we are Christians, then the more we search for ourselves, the more we SHOULD disappear and God become more evident in our lives, He becomes the star of the show. God, that is my prayer today.
